Compiled by English courtier John Chamberlayne, the document created was of global appeal. The second part of the original volume contained nine remarkable articles on typefaces and languages, including the first publication ever of \u003cem\u003eDe Variis Linguis\u003c\/em\u003e by the great German philosopher and polymath G.W.
