Reproducing a lively contemporary work by American creator and illustrator Erica Williams (aka HookieDuke), here a lynx is seen emerging from a haze of orange flowers. The courageous presence of the feline dares us to wonder where it’s heading.

Originally created as a limited edition screen-printed poster for the Americana folk duo Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), this illustration was suggested to us for a cover design by our fans on Twitter! We were so enchanted by this special artwork that our Graphics teams got to work on reproducing it for this cover.

Williams’ work is known for blending intricate traditional mark-making, surrealism, lore, and occultism. The Minnesota-based artist’s work explores emotion and spirit, woven through with folklore, sacred symbols, the arcane, and the natural world. Their blend of themes juxtaposed with the softness of nature adds unique layers to their pieces, capturing the imagination and transporting viewers to whole new worlds.

May the boldness of Lynx Rising allow you to harness the power of your own spirit and to be just as fearless.

Original artwork: Screen-printed poster by Erica Williams

Era: 2018

Region: USA

Product Details

Dimensions: 40 × 185 × 1 mm

Design: Lynx Rising

Series: Erica Williams Art

Double-sided design

Decorative printed paper

Textured printing

Rounded edges

Subtle Paperblanks branding

Weight: 10 g

Product code: PA1383-0 | ISBN: 9780349713830

About Paperblanks

Paperblanks works with museums, libraries, galleries and artists around the world to faithfully reproduce remarkable artwork, historic bindings and treasured manuscripts, bringing the same care and craftsmanship found in its celebrated journals to every accessory.
