r-f-surface-thermometer
R&F Surface Thermometer

Good encaustic practice depends on controlling heat, and these R&F accessories help you keep your palette tidy and your wax at a sensible working temperature. Wax that is too cool drags and will not fuse well, while wax that is too hot can smoke and degrade, so a little attention to temperature pays off in both safety and results.

The R&F surface thermometer lets you check the temperature of your heated palette, so you can keep it in the range recommended for encaustic work. R&F palette cups sit on the heated palette and hold melted colour or medium, keeping mixes separate and making it easy to set a cup aside and reuse it in the next session.

Both are simple, durable studio essentials for anyone working regularly with hot wax.

Key features

Surface thermometer for checking heated palette temperature

Palette cups sized for 104ml R&F cakes

Keeps melted colours and medium separate

Helps maintain a safe working temperature

Durable, reusable studio essentials

Specifications

Brand

R&F Handmade Paints

Range

R&F Encaustic Accessories

Vegan

Yes

Packed dimensions

114.3 x 25.4 x 152.4 mm

Packed weight

61 g

Country of origin

China

Product code

RF-972
