Speedball has been part of lettering history since 1915, when Ross F. George designed the original Speedball lettering nibs; today the company makes nibs, holders, inks and markers used by calligraphers, illustrators and students around the world.
Speedball Super Black India Ink is a dense, opaque black that flows smoothly from dip pens, technical pens and brushes, making it a favourite for comics, illustration, lettering and drawing. It is available in 59ml, 473ml and 946ml sizes for individual artists and studios.
The 29ml coloured India inks, with gemstone-inspired names such as Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst, Citrine and Teal Agate, bring the same permanent, pen-friendly qualities to colour work, alongside Black Velvet (Matt) and an opaque Satin White. A set of ten 12ml colours is a good way to try the range.
