Speedball Red Baron Unmounted Lino, Grey 12 x 18in (30.5 x 45.7cm)

Speedball has supplied artists, schools and printmakers from its home in Statesville, North Carolina for more than a century, and is one of the best-known names in relief printing, screen printing and lettering. It offers lino in a range of sizes to suit everything from small prints to ambitious editions.

Tan lino blocks come in sizes from 2 x 3in to 9 x 12in, handy for greetings cards, bookplates and small editions. Red Baron unmounted lino is grey linoleum sheet that can be printed by hand or on a press, cut down to size and, if you wish, mounted yourself, with sizes up to 12 x 18in for larger work.

Linoleum gives crisp, durable printing surfaces with clean edges. Warming it gently, for example on a radiator, makes it easier to carve. Use Speedball lino cutters and a bench hook, and print with water-soluble, oil-based or professional relief inks.
