Speedball has been part of lettering history since 1915, when Ross F. George designed the original Speedball lettering nibs; today the company makes nibs, holders, inks and markers used by calligraphers, illustrators and students around the world.
Speedball Acrylic Calligraphy Ink is a pigmented ink with good flow that clings well to dip pen nibs and produces crisp, opaque lettering. Once dry it is water-resistant, so you can add watercolour washes or decoration over your lettering without it lifting.
The palette includes Black, Scarlet Red, Indigo Blue, Emerald Green, Burnt Umber, Teal Green, Deep Purple and White, plus metallic Gold and Silver that are ideal for wedding stationery, place cards and dark papers. Shake well before use and clean nibs promptly with water or Speedball Pen Cleaner, because acrylic ink cannot be rewetted once it has dried.
