Speedball Hard Rubber Pop-In Brayer 100mm – One-Piece Plastic Frame, Carded

Speedball has supplied artists, schools and printmakers from its home in Statesville, North Carolina for more than a century, and is one of the best-known names in relief printing, screen printing and lettering. Its brayers are a staple of print rooms and classrooms.

Soft rubber brayers are forgiving and pick up detail on uneven or textured surfaces, making them the usual choice for lino, gel plate and monoprint work. Hard rubber brayers lay down a thinner, more even film of ink and are well suited to fine relief blocks and wood. Frames range from the economical one-piece plastic Pop-In design to sturdy wire and heavy-duty steel frames for frequent use.

Choose a roller width at least as wide as the areas you print most often: narrow 38mm to 65mm rollers for small blocks and detail, 100mm and 150mm rollers for larger blocks and plates. Clean rollers after every session and store them so the rubber does not rest on a flat surface.
