Speedball Akua Liquid Pigment 118ml, Series 1 – Jet Black

Akua inks were developed for printmakers who want professional results without solvents. They are soy-based, non-toxic and clean up with soap and water, and they are now made by Speedball.

Akua Liquid Pigment is a fluid, highly concentrated colour designed for painterly monotypes. Brush, roll or drip it onto a plate, wipe back to create lights, and print by press or by hand for rich, luminous impressions. It stays open on the plate for a long time, so you can develop an image slowly and print when you are ready.

Each 118ml bottle is grouped into price series 1 to 4. Mix with Akua Blending Medium to extend the colour and adjust its transparency for layered, watercolour-like effects, and clean up with soap and water when you have finished.
