Speedball Lino Cutter Blade No. 6 – Knife

Speedball has supplied artists, schools and printmakers from its home in Statesville, North Carolina for more than a century, and is one of the best-known names in relief printing, screen printing and lettering. Its interchangeable lino cutters have introduced generations of artists to relief carving.

The system is simple: one handle accepts a range of numbered cutter blades, so you can switch between fine V-shaped liners for detail, U-shaped gouges for clearing larger areas and a knife for cutting outlines. Assortments combine a handle with a selection of blades, while replacement blades are sold boxed singly or carded in pairs so you can replace your most-used profiles as they dull.

Speedball cutters work on linoleum and on softer materials such as Speedy-Carve and Speedy-Cut blocks. Always cut away from your hand and use a bench hook to steady the block.
