These Raphaël brushes carry the name of Billy Showell, the botanical artist and teacher known for her detailed watercolour flower paintings and her books on botanical painting.
The selection gives you a compact botanical kit: the Devine Wash brush for laying in soft washes, a Fine Liner for stems and veins, The Spotter for tiny marks and highlights, the Eradicator for lifting and correcting, and a Mixer brush for preparing colour on the palette so your painting brushes stay in good condition.
Each is made by Raphaël and based on established Raphaël series, chosen for the particular jobs that come up again and again in botanical painting. They are equally useful for anyone painting detailed watercolour studies. Rinse in clean water after use and reshape before drying.
