Cranfield Traditional Etching Ink 250g Tin – Apricot Yellow

Cranfield Traditional Etching Ink is the classic oil-based intaglio ink from Cranfield Colours in South Wales, long relied upon by print studios, colleges and professional printmakers. It is formulated to fill etched, engraved and drypoint lines, wipe cleanly from the plate surface and print with depth and density on damp paper through an etching press.

The range spans a wide choice of blacks, including Soft, Mid, Aquatint, Bone and Lamp Black, each with its own handling and tone, plus earths, process colours, metallics, extender and a large palette of strong colours for à la poupée and multi-plate work.

Tins of 250g, 500g and 1kg are the economical choice for print studios, colleges and printmakers producing editions. Smooth the surface and lay a disc of greaseproof paper on the ink before closing the lid to reduce skinning.
