Cranfield Traditional Relief Ink 500g Tin – Raw Sienna
Cranfield Traditional Relief Ink is an oil-based block printing ink from Cranfield Colours of South Wales, made for lino, woodcut, wood engraving and other relief surfaces. It rolls out to a smooth, even film with a pleasing tack, transfers crisply to the paper and gives dense, velvety solids whether you print by press or by hand with a baren or spoon.
The 500g tin is the economical choice for print studios, schools and printmakers running editions, with core colours, metallics and Transparent Extender and Mixing White for tints and overlays.
To limit skinning, smooth the surface and cover the ink with a disc of greaseproof paper before replacing the lid. Clean up with vegetable oil followed by a suitable cleaner. Pair with the boxed 75ml tubes for smaller colour runs.
