Cranfield Traditional Litho Ink 500ml Tin – Carbazole Violet
Cranfield Traditional Litho Ink is an oil-based lithographic printing ink from Cranfield Colours, the South Wales ink maker. It is made for stone and plate lithography, with the stiffness and tack needed to roll up an image cleanly on a dampened printing surface and transfer strong, even colour to the paper.
Supplied in 250ml, 500ml and 1kg tins, these are the economical choice for print workshops and lithographers running editions. Colours include Carbon Black, earths, phthalo blues and green, quinacridones, arylide and diarylide yellows, Opaque White and a Transparent base.
Smooth the ink surface and cover with greaseproof paper before closing the tin to limit skinning. Colours can be intermixed to extend the palette, and the Transparent base lets you lighten colours and build translucent overlays. For proofing or smaller runs, the same colours are available in 150ml tubes. Made in the UK.
