Speedball Gel Printing Tool Kit

Speedball has supplied artists, schools and printmakers from its home in Statesville, North Carolina for more than a century, and is one of the best-known names in relief printing, screen printing and lettering. Its gel printing plates open up the spontaneous world of monoprinting without a press.

Roll a thin layer of acrylic paint or water-based printing ink onto the plate with a brayer, add texture with stencils, leaves, combs or found objects, then lay paper on top and rub with your hand to pull a unique print. The plates are reusable, so you can layer prints, build backgrounds for collage and journals, and experiment freely.

Plates come in sizes from 5 x 5in to 12 x 12in, and as a bulk pack of ten 5 x 7in plates for classes. The Monoprinting Starter Kit gathers the essentials in one box. Clean the plate with water or baby wipes and store it in its packaging.
