These Jacquard textile auxiliaries open up techniques that go beyond adding colour, letting you take colour away or keep it out of chosen areas.

Jacquard Decolourant is a discharge paste for removing colour from dyed natural fabrics. Brush, stamp, stencil or screen print it onto cotton, linen, rayon or silk, let it dry, then activate it with a steam iron to lift the colour and reveal lighter patterns. Results depend on the dye originally used, so test a small area first. It is available in an 8oz jar and a gallon tub for studios and print workshops.

Jacquard Water-Based Resist is a clear, removable alternative to traditional gutta for silk painting. Apply it to outline designs and contain flowing dyes and paints; once your work is finished and fixed, it washes out in water, leaving crisp, uncoloured lines.
