Kaweco Piston Sport AL Fountain Pen – Bordeaux

The Piston Sport AL combines a built-in piston filler with an anodised deep bordeaux red aluminium body and gold-coloured trims. Filling straight from the bottle means no cartridges to buy and access to the full range of bottled inks; a clear window shows how much ink is left.

The tough anodised finish has a pleasantly smooth feel, and at around 22 g the pen is well balanced for long writing sessions. It measures 10.3 cm capped and 12.7 cm with the cap posted, and writes with a gold-plated steel nib on an exchangeable 190 nib unit. This is the pen on its own, without ink, presented in a round Kaweco tin.
