Lascaux Gesso Transparent 1 Litre

Lascaux is a Swiss colour maker, founded by Alois K. Diethelm and named after the prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux, that has built its reputation on carefully formulated acrylic-based paints, grounds and conservation materials. Its grounds give you a reliable foundation for acrylic and mixed-media painting.

Choose classic white Lascaux Gesso for a bright, toothy surface, Transparent Gesso when you want to keep the colour or texture of the support visible, or Black Gesso for dramatic dark grounds that make colours glow. Lascaux Primer is offered alongside for preparing supports before you begin.

Apply with a wide brush or roller to canvas, linen, wood panels, card and heavy paper, sanding lightly between coats if you prefer a smoother finish. Each product comes in 500ml and 1 litre sizes for individual painters and busy studios alike.
