Mabef lyre easels are tripod-style studio easels made in Italy from oiled beechwood. Named after their elegant lyre-shaped front, they fold for storage yet stand firmly when open, making them ideal for smaller studios, classrooms and display.
The range includes the M/11, M/12, M/13 and M/20, with the M/20 Plus adding a mast for taller canvases. Each offers an adjustable canvas holder and can be tilted to suit your working position.
A good choice if you want a quality wooden studio easel without the footprint of a full H-frame. Lyre easels are also popular for displaying finished paintings at exhibitions, in shop windows and at home.
