Magnani 1404 Italia Cold Pressed Watercolour Block 300gsm – 36 x 51cm

Magnani 1404 watercolour blocks put the Tuscan mill's cotton watercolour papers into a format that is ready to paint on straight away. The sheets are gummed around the edges, so the paper stays flat while you work and there is no need to stretch it first.

All three surfaces are available: Portofino hot pressed for smooth, detailed work; Italia cold pressed for versatile, everyday painting; and Toscana rough for bold textures and granulating colours. Rectangular blocks are offered in five sizes from 18 x 26cm to 36 x 51cm, all in 300gsm.

The range also includes distinctive round tondi blocks, 16cm and 32cm in diameter, a lovely format for circular compositions, botanical studies and decorative pieces. When a painting is dry, release the top sheet with a palette knife.
