Natural Earth Paint pigments are earth and mineral colours sourced for making your own paints. Mixed with a binder of your choice – oil for oil paint, gum arabic for watercolour, or an acrylic or egg binder – they let you create fresh, solvent-free paint with exactly the consistency you want.
The palette ranges from warm ochres, siennas and umbers to Venetian Red, Terre Verte, Ultramarine Blue and Purple, French Turquoise and the natural mica shimmers in gold, silver and copper.
The 85g packet is a convenient size for trying a colour or for occasional use (Natural Gold Mica comes in a 56g packet). Avoid inhaling dry pigment: work slowly and wear a dust mask when mulling. The colours intermix well, giving an almost endless range of natural hues from a small selection.
