Considered to be among the most influential stories of the fantasy genre, The Lord of the Rings is revered by fans as one of the greatest series ever created. Set in the fictional world of Middle-earth, the trilogy follows the hobbit Frodo as he inherits the One Ring from his uncle, Bilbo Baggins. In the films, Frodo, alongside the Fellowship, sets out on a perilous quest to destroy the One Ring, a powerful object forged by the Dark Lord Sauron, to prevent its corruption from spreading and protect Middle-earth from Sauron’s rule.
