R&F Flexible Cold Tool – Oblong Angled

R&F Flexible Cold Tools are shaped, flexible blades for working back into encaustic and oil once the paint has cooled or set. Use them to scrape, incise, carve and smooth the surface, to reveal underlying layers or to pull crisp, graphic marks through soft colour.

Each tool has a distinct profile: a circle, a diamond, an angled oblong and a flat oblong, giving you curves, points and straight edges for a wide range of marks. Because they flex, they follow the surface of a panel closely and let you vary pressure for anything from a delicate scratch to a broad scrape.

The set of four contains one of each shape, and each shape is also available singly. They are equally useful with R&F Pigment Sticks, cold wax and oil paint, and wipe clean after use.
