R&F Pigment Stick 188ml – Blending Stick with Drier

A colourless stick containing a drying agent, for blending and extending colour while speeding up drying time.

R&F Pigment Sticks are artist-quality oil paint in solid stick form, handmade in Kingston, New York, from concentrated pigment, linseed oil and a small amount of wax. They let you draw directly with oil colour, with no brushes, palette or solvents needed, and the rich, creamy colour can be blended with the fingers, a brush, a palette knife or a rag.

The 188ml stick is the largest R&F format, offered in the whites, blacks and Blending Sticks that painters get through fastest. It is designed for covering large areas, for mural-scale drawing and for anyone who uses a lot of white or black in mixing.

When left to rest, each stick forms a thin protective skin that keeps the colour inside fresh; simply peel or rub it away with a paper towel before you work again. Pigment Sticks are compatible with conventional oil paints and mediums, and can be used on primed canvas, panel or suitably sized paper. As with any oil paint, work fat over lean and allow ample drying time between layers.
