Raphaël Kaerell S Synthetic Flat Brush, Series 879 – Size 18

Raphaël is a French brushmaker whose history goes back to 1793, and Kaerell is its synthetic fibre for responsive, durable brushes. This group gathers the Kaerell S series together with the Kaerell filbert.

Short-handled Series 8394 rounds and the Series 804 pointed quill mop are made for watercolour and gouache, while the Series 8796 flats, sized in inches, are useful wash and lettering brushes. Long-handled Series 869 rounds, 879 flats, 8792 filberts and 8795 fans are designed for acrylic and oil painting at the easel.

Whichever medium you work in, Kaerell offers a crisp point or edge, good colour release and fibres that cope with frequent cleaning. Clean promptly after use with soap and water or the appropriate solvent, then reshape the head and leave to dry.
