Raphaël Sepia Large Flat Brush, Series 298 – Size 40

Raphaël is a French brushmaker whose history goes back to 1793, and these large flat brushes bring several of its brush ranges to a size suited to big canvases, backgrounds and murals.

Each line is offered in sizes 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100 (some lines in fewer sizes): Softacryl (Series 280), Kaerell (281), Hobby & Craft (291), Textura (292), Oleo (293), Mixacryl (295), Softaqua (296) and Sepia (298). That lets you pick a large brush with the character you are used to, whether that is a soft watercolour fibre for broad washes, a firm brush for heavy acrylic or a bristle brush for oil.

Use them to prime and tone canvases, lay in large areas of colour or apply varnish and mediums evenly. Clean thoroughly after use and reshape the head before drying.
