Raphaël Precision Synthetic Long-Handled Short Flat Brush, Series 8938 – Size 16

Raphaël is a French brushmaker whose history goes back to 1793, and Precision is its synthetic range built for accuracy and control. These long-handled versions are made for acrylic and oil painting at the easel.

Choose from rounds (Series 8900), flats (8930), short flats (8938), filberts (8940) and fans (8970). The rounds, flats and filberts run from the smallest sizes up to 28 or 36, so you can refine small passages and still cover larger canvases with the same brush family.

The synthetic fibre holds its shape well and gives smooth, controlled strokes, making it good for glazing, blending, clean edges and detail. It also stands up well to acrylic and to regular cleaning. Wash out promptly with soap and water or the appropriate solvent, reshape the head and leave to dry.
