Sennelier has made artists’ colours in Paris since 1887, when Gustave Sennelier opened his shop on the Quai Voltaire, across the Seine from the Louvre. The family firm supplied painters such as Cézanne and Gauguin, and its colours are still prized for their intensity and depth. Sennelier Artist Acrylic is the company’s extra-fine acrylic, with a palette of 120 colours.
The cardboard set of ten 21ml tubes offers a balanced selection for discovering the range or for a compact travel palette.
It has a smooth, creamy body that holds brushmarks and blends well, high pigment concentration for strong mixes, and dries to a satin finish. Colours are graded in series by pigment and include genuine cadmiums and cobalts, quinacridones, iridescent metallics and interference colours. Use it with the Sennelier acrylic mediums for glazes, texture and longer working time.
