Sennelier Artist Gouache 21ml – Viridian Green 837

Sennelier has made artists’ colours in Paris since 1887, when Gustave Sennelier opened his shop on the Quai Voltaire, across the Seine from the Louvre. The family firm supplied painters such as Cézanne and Gauguin, and its colours are still prized for their intensity and depth. Sennelier Artist Gouache is the house’s opaque watercolour, made for flat, even areas of colour and crisp graphic work.

The 21ml tube covers the core palette of the range, from earths and traditional pigments to fluorescent shades and colours such as Bonnard Blue and Sennelier Red, graded into series by pigment.

Gouache dries to a velvety matt finish and can be diluted with water for transparent washes or used thickly for solid, opaque colour that covers what lies beneath. It is ideal for illustration, design, lettering and plein air sketching, and it re-wets on the palette so nothing goes to waste.
