Sennelier Clarified Linseed Oil – 500ml

Sennelier’s auxiliaries for oil painting give you precise control over how your colour flows, dries and finishes. The range covers the classic drying oils – clarified and boiled linseed, refined safflower, poppy and stand oil – alongside ready-made painting mediums and driers.

Use clarified linseed or stand oil to increase gloss and flow, and safflower or poppy oil where you want to limit yellowing in pale colours. Turner, Veronese and Van Eyck mediums are prepared mediums for glazing and fine detail, while the ’n Dry mediums speed drying and the impasto medium thickens paint for heavy, sculpted texture. Siccatives should be used sparingly, a few drops at a time.

Following the fat-over-lean principle, add a little more oil or medium to each successive layer for a sound, durable paint film.
