Sennelier half pastels are half-length versions of the house's extra-fine soft pastels, here supplied individually boxed. They contain exactly the same colour as the full-size sticks but at a lower cost per shade, which makes them an economical way to widen your palette, try new colours or carry a compact selection for working outdoors.

Sennelier soft pastels are made to the same principle as the original range: a very high proportion of pure pigment with only the minimum of binder needed to hold the stick together. The result is an exceptionally soft, velvety pastel that releases colour at the lightest touch and blends easily with a finger, stump or brush.

Each half stick is labelled with its Sennelier reference number, so you can replace colours from your half pastel sets or match them to full-size sticks in the same shade.
