Sennelier L'Esprit du Pastel Pad – 32 x 40cm

Sennelier, maker of some of the best-loved soft and oil pastels, also makes papers designed to get the most from them. La Carte pastel card has a fine, sanded-feel coating that grips pastel and holds many layers without filling up, so colours stay vivid and you need little or no fixative.

Pastel Card Mixed Media pads use a surface developed to accept wet techniques as well as dry pastel, in Naples Yellow, Earth Tones, Charcoal and Shades of Grey. The Oil Pastel pads have a surface suited to the waxy, buttery strokes of oil pastels, and L’Esprit du Pastel pads are made for soft pastel.

Note that classic La Carte should be used dry only; choose the Mixed Media version if you plan to use washes.
