Sennelier pastel pencils put the house's soft pastel colour into a precise, easy-to-control form. Each pencil has a soft pastel core encased in wood, so you can sharpen it to a point for fine lines, hair, fur, foliage and the small details that are difficult to achieve with a stick.

The colours are matched to the Sennelier soft pastel range and carry the corresponding reference numbers, so the pencils sit naturally alongside your sticks: block in with soft pastel, then refine edges and accents with a pencil of the same shade. Where a traditional pigment is replaced, the colour is labelled as a hue.

Sharpen gently with a sharp blade or a good-quality sharpener, and use on toothed pastel paper or card for the best grip and layering.
