Sennelier pebble soft pastels are large, rounded pieces of the house's extra-fine soft pastel, shaped to sit comfortably in the hand. The format invites a broad, expressive way of working: use the wide face to lay down generous areas of colour and the curved edge for sweeping, softer marks.
The colours are drawn from the Sennelier soft pastel range and carry the same reference numbers, including two iridescent shades, so a pebble can be paired with the standard sticks you already use for detail. They are well suited to large formats, underpainting, toning paper and teaching, as well as to artists who simply enjoy the feel of a substantial piece of pure colour.
Store pebbles separately or wrapped so that the soft colour stays clean, and wipe the surface on a scrap of paper to refresh it between colours.
