Speedball Water-Soluble Block Printing Pearlescent Base 236ml

Mix into water-soluble block printing inks to give your prints a soft pearlescent sheen.

Speedball has supplied artists, schools and printmakers from its home in Statesville, North Carolina for more than a century, and is one of the best-known names in relief printing, screen printing and lettering. These additives are made to work with Speedball Water-Soluble Block Printing Inks.

Retarder slows drying on the inking slab and block, giving you more time to roll up, register and print, which is especially useful in warm rooms or for larger blocks. Extender and Transparent Extender Base reduce the strength of a colour so you can make tints, transparent overlays and subtle multi-layer reduction prints. Pearlescent Base adds a soft, shimmering sheen to any colour.

Mix additives into ink on a glass or acrylic slab with a palette knife before rolling out. Like the inks themselves, they clean up with soap and water.
