Stonehenge Aqua is Legion's 100% cotton watercolour paper, made in the USA and acid free. It handles washes, lifting and layering with ease, and comes in both cold press, with a gentle texture suited to most watercolour work, and hot press, a smooth surface for fine detail and botanical painting.
Blocks of 300gsm paper are available in white cold press and hot press, along with a heavyweight 638gsm cold press block for very wet techniques that need a sheet that stays flat. Stonehenge Aqua Black is a striking black watercolour paper, offered in pads and as a 20 x 30in sheet, perfect for opaque watercolour, gouache, metallic and iridescent paints, white ink and pastel.
Blocks are gummed around the edges, so there is no need to stretch the paper before you paint.
