Tom Norton's Darkening Medium 42ml

Tom Norton's Walnut Ink is a warm brown drawing ink in the tradition of the walnut inks used by old master draughtsmen. Applied with a pen, brush or dip pen, it gives everything from rich, dark lines to soft sepia washes when diluted with water, making it a favourite for sketching, wash drawing and calligraphy.

The Darkening Medium deepens the tone of the ink for stronger darks, and the Drawing Stick is a simple tool for lively, expressive line work with ink.

Available in 60ml and 250ml bottles. Shake well before use. The ink is easy to use with brushes, dip pens and bamboo pens, and works beautifully on watercolour and drawing papers. Its warm tone is particularly suited to landscape sketches, figure studies and lettering, and it layers well for building up tone.
